Job Description:
- Ensure the efficient planning and coordination of all geological activities to meet operational targets.
- Provide accurate delineation of the mineral resource, rigorous production/grade control and to locate additions to the ore reserve
- Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements and Company Safety, Health and Environmental standards and procedures.
- Supervise and be responsible for the day to day geological activities in and around the mining operations
- Keep geological model up to date as new geological data obtained;
- Keep all geological database in proper order;
- Assist with the development of plans, budgets, schedules and programs to ensure the section's objectives are met and sustained.

Requirements:
- Tertiary/degree qualification in Geology or equivalent.
- Madya Certification for operational supervision in an underground mine to National competency standards; desirable
- Minimum of 8-10 years experience in underground mine activities including practical work as ug geologist, and minimum 3 years in a similar rol
- Strong computer literacy skills, with a working knowledge of mining software such as Surpac, Datamine or MicroMine.
- Previous exposure to Greenfields projects and the development of operational readiness capabilities for an underground mine would be an advantage
- Knowledge and understanding of Mines Regulations, OH&S and Duty of Care, High level of 4WD vehicle / driving ability with a current license, Hazard and Incident identification, reporting and remedy, Chemical hazard awareness, Fire fighting skills, and First aid.

Responsibilities

- Prepare documentation and coordinate any systems/cross product line design modification, revision, upgrade, testing, etc. conducted in or for the area.

- Communicate new product applications or improvements to internal and external customers via technical presentations or less formal channels of communication.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with various departments within the organization.
- Travel within the country or overseas when required.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in oilfield operations environment.
- Proficient knowledge of completion and intervention product and services (packer, whipstock, fishing services, liner hanger, etc.) and proper application of tools.

Skill Requirements

- Thorough understanding of downhole hydraulics and rig operations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, technical writing and presentation skills.
- Proficient in use of computer based programs related to application of products.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Solidworks or Visio is necessary.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English is essential.
